Is a big city like milwaukee the place for me?

i want to go to milwaukee for college because i think i'll fall in love with the city. i like people, events, architecture, big buildings, and a busy life. i'm not too worried about black people and crime at all. are some people just meant to live in a big city like me? because lots of people in my small town high school think im strange because i want to live in milwaukee. but i think they are crazy.
