Can you be demoted from your job for being on pregnacy related bedrest?
so ive been at a daycare center (not state funded-privately owned) for about 6 months now..i found out in December that i was around 5 weeks pregnant..well due to some complications with a hemorrhage i was put on bed rest for 2 weeks..2 weeks prior to this i was promoted to assistant teacher in the 2yr old room. Well upon my return to work today i was sent a text from the boss saying that she didn't need me rite now an that i would be put back dwn to a floater..which would take me from 40 hrs a week down to 20. She also hired in 3 new people one in which took over position. Ive been checking the laws in the state of Georgia an all i can find is the PDA an i dont think that covers my employer bc she offers no insurance an theres only a total of 13 employees. any help wld be appreciated.
