Georgia State University?

Okay, I'm only a sophomore in high school right now, but I'm looking at colleges because I really want to have a plan ready. So I was really wanting to go to UGA, but GSU looks like it has better journalism courses, and that's what I'm wanting to be. I've also noticed that a lot of people that go to GSU don't go there right after high school, they usually go somewhere else for two years. I want to stay in the northern Georgia area, atlanta and above. Any ideas what a good plan would be?
