Has anyone used Wawanesa for car insurance? Why is it so cheap?

My policy with Wawanesa is the cheapest insurance (California driver) i can find. I did my research very thoroughly for the cheapest. I have barebones insurance. it is almost 1/2 the price of the next cheapest insurance (Progressive/Mercury). Do i not know something about Wawanesa?
