Help paying for funeral expenses?

My grandfather passed yesterday an we thought the funeral plans an expenses were taken care of but now he's life insurance doesn't want to pay due to a late payment or something. So now my mother is tiring to find some why to pay. Are there any programs or assistance in bexar county San Antonio? Anything will help thank you!
