How does he get rid of the infection smell?

My boyfriend has teeth that are literally broken, and infected. We're talking like, abcessed. We have NO insurance, and no, medicaid is not an option! Even if he goes to the emergency room, he still has to pay for the anti-biotic, which is 29$!! But there's this awful smell, and it makes him SO insecure! What can he do to get rid of that smell until we can get him to a dentist?
