Texas is a community property state...should I try to get half the house?

My wife used the money she received from an insurance policy to buy our house. She does not work and I pay all of the bills, including the property taxes and HOA dues. We are in the process of getting a divorce and she wants the house, the car and our son...she wants me to take my personal belongings and that is all. I am not a big jerk and wouldn't mind letting her have the house and car but SHE is the one who had and AFFAIR...is still having an affair (been going on now for 14 months). She wants to move her boyfriend into the house - the house I painted, laid new floors in, redid all the light fixtures. So...should I try to get part of the house in the divorce settlement or would that make me a jerk?
