Any advice on how i can get started as a singer in youtube?

For some reason, I always found singing to be fun. I'm not the best and i do need to improve. I never took voice lessons in my life or joined chorus. I just usually sing at home or in the shower. But i love it. I really don't want to post a video until i get better at singing. How should i start? And should i use a better mic, since my camera sucks at recording? Any advice would be nice. Thanks=)) I would love to become a pro like youtubers alyssa bernal, esmee denters, etc.
