B&A: Do you think most writers bring out in their writing what they lack in real life?

Fantasy writer, so no. Granted I do lack everything in my book, but who doesn't, I'm not trying to fill a void. Quite the contrary, I'm trying to take stuff out of me and put it on to paper.
