Culturally Speaking: Why do lightskinned black women get mad when I say I prefer darker women?

And no I'm not talking about on answers, I'm talking about in real life. Then some people say "Oh you hate your own race.... of skin tone" What the f u c k? It's OK for black women to say they prefer darker men but it's not OK for me to prefer darker women?
