Have any of you ever traveled like this?

Hi, i will need to travel from San Antonio TX to Atlanta Georiga in a CHarter bus with my 2 yr old son. I am not able to fly because i dont have a passport and i am not able to drive either. Has anyone traveled with their kids like this? Was it hard? is it safe to go all the way over there in a charter bus? Are they safe enough. Im just kind of scared that something might happen.
