What I need to run for mayor of a small town?

I'm a life long resident of a small town in northwest Ohio. I recently moved back, and am interested in running for Mayor. A lot needs to happen to this small town that has lost all industry, an all productivity to this ; slowly dieing community. Please help me with my questions; so I canfore filll my dream. Saving my hometown.
